German to English - Certified Translation of Certificates of Entitlement

Certified Translation of Certificates of Entitlement

Many people outside the United Kingdom are not aware that there are no sworn or certified translators in the UK. For the British authorities and insurance companies to accept German to English certified official translations of certificates of entitlement, qualified translators and members of a professional institute like the Chartered Institute of Linguists or the Institute of Translation and Interpreting certify their own translations. These translations are subsequently accepted by the Home Office, British courts, all other UK government bodies and by banks and other financial institutions for all purposes.

The Home Office, courts and financial institutes accept certified translations of all official documents provided by professional translators resident in the UK provided:

• The translator is a full member of an official professional language association, for example the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL) or the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (ITI).
• Or the translator work for a language agency that is a full member of the Association of Translation Companies.
