Trading as Iolante, I offer English-German translation services to SMEs and private clients, based in the UK and beyond.

2. How do I collect information from you?
In accordance with this privacy policy, I obtain information about you when you contact me to inquire about my services as a translation client. I also collect information about you if you leave a comment on the website.

The information I collect allows me to fulfill my obligations to my clients and to respond to business enquiries. I also collect your information if you leave a comment on the website. The table in section 3.3 below outlines exactly what information I collect and for what purpose.
3.0 Sensitive Data
According to the terms of this pricacy policy, I do not gather sensitive personal data such as health, genetic, biometric data; political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, sexual orientation and criminal convictions. However, in the course of my work, I may be required to translate these data. In that case, I store them securely for the statutory period of time to comply with government legislation, GDPR and the requirements of my professional indemnity insurer.

My services are not directed at children under 13. If you learn that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information without consent, please contact me.
3.2 Privacy Policy: Third Parties
I will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
I will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Iolante may pass your information to third party service providers who I have engaged for the purpose of completing tasks and providing services to you on my behalf. I disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service.
I also use a number of 3rd party services to help us fulfill my contractual obligations. These 3rd party services are listed in full below; I have verified that these 3rd party services are GDPR compliant (or are working towards GDPR compliance) and are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework (or are working towards certification) where these organisations are based outside of the EU.

Iolante takes security seriously. To protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access or disclosure, I have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect. These steps include the following:
